There is a rumor that some Kayaks might be able to make it. I have even heard word that there may be some adventurers from the Everglades Challenge. I will bend over backwards to help you make this event. If there is anything I can do, or concerns you may have, please do not hesitate to speak up. At the very least we can take some of your equipment, or water, or what not. This summer we are running the coarse as a test of possible beaches and stops. We aren't looking to have a lot of people with us, but if you are dieing to try this out and be a part of setting up the 2010 event then We would be glad to have a Kayak or two along. This summer the dates are july 20th-24th. Starting and ending, most likely, form cedar island's driftwood inn and camp ground. 2010 dates will most likely be may 31-june 4th, but it is not written in stone.

The first boat I built was a Lars boat, a Michalak kayak/canoe, which made its maiden voyage in these very waters in 2000.
